Gegenüber den Verschlüssen mit nur durchscheinenden, mehrfarbig unterteilten Abdeckflügeln ergeben glasklare Farbfilter eine erheblich günstigere Ausnutzung der an der Projektionslampe verfügbaren Lichtmenge und decken - trotz ihrer Durchsichtigkeit - die Bewegung des Films von Bild zu Bild infolge der Verschmelzung der verschiedenen Farben innerhalb des Abdeckflügels für die Schaltung vollkommen ab.
