Elektrisehes Kabel.

Electric cable.
The invention relates to an electrical cable in which the insulation is subject to the action of a gaseous or liquid pressure medium acting on the outside of the cable jacket. According to the invention, the pressure medium is accommodated outside the cable jacket between the latter and the cable armouring in several closed tubular bodies, which are as good as possible conductive of heat and distributed over the circumference of the cable. To increase the pressure effect, the cable jacket has folds or indentations which run in the longitudinal direction of the cable axis and which serve to accommodate the tubular body containing the pressure medium.
In the case of multi-conductor cables, the cable sheath is suitably adapted to the circumference of the insulated cable cores, i.e. H. Star-shaped, while the tubular bodies provided in the indentations of the cable jacket are given a triangular cross-section so that, together with the cable cores, they result in a round cable cross-section. The cable jacket is advantageously pressed in a round or polygonal shape with a width that is considerably larger than the cable circumference and is folded in or
Recess in the longitudinal direction is narrowed to the circumference of the insulated cable, for example with the aid of a roller or cylinder apparatus.
The cable according to the invention represents a particularly simple and practical embodiment of a tubeless pressure cable. It has a high heat dissipation capability, combined with a high load capacity and a uniform field distribution. Its insulation strength is low. The
Placing the pressure medium in several closed tubes outside the cable jacket increases the operational reliability of the cable to a considerable extent. The manufacture of the cable is relatively simple.
In the embodiment of the invention shown in cross section in the drawing, the insulated cable cores a are stranded together around a tubular, resilient insert h. The cable jacket b, pressed in a round or triangular shape, for example from pure aluminum, which after pressing initially had a much larger circumference than the stranded, insulated cable cores a, has been narrowed by the folds or installation holes c so that it is entirely on the outer circumference the insulated cable cores a rests and has a kind of star shape corresponding to its cross section. Outside the jacket b are in the folds or
Indentations c three resilient tubular bodies i made of a material that conducts heat as well as possible and have a shape such that, together with the cable cores a, they result in a round cable cross-section. Corrosion protection e, iron band reinforcement f and shaped wire stranding g are attached over the pipe bodies i. The interior d of the tubular body i is filled with a pressure medium. Likewise, the insert can also carry pressure or insulation means.
