EMI1.1

EMI1.1
The invention relates to an alarm device for reporting fires and the sudden occurrence of dangerous gases of all kinds, in which platinum bog bodies are fixed to a mercury thermometer by means of a suitable glow wire. which is enclosed in a common electrical circuit with optical or acoustic alarm devices and activates these alarm devices when the platinum bog bodies see under the influence of
Heat gases, smoke or heat.
Of the known gas alarm devices, the trigger element is arranged directly on the gas supply line or on the gas device, whereas the alarm signals on others, usually very high, and the like. between a location that is out of reach in accordance with regulations in the same room and is electrically connected to the trigger element by a cable.
In practice, it has been shown that attaching the trigger element to the gas line or to the gas appliance does not provide sufficient protection for the device against damage. The electrical device, on the other hand, caused ignitions due to its free, unprotected arrangement in the room at the moment of the signal output, by the in the relevant with
Gas fill space caused repeated explosions.
The invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the existing alarm devices
The idea is to install the mercury thermometer with a platinum bog body and the optical and acoustic signal units including the battery in a common housing in which the mercury thermometer is freely accessible to gases that are protected within the housing from being ignited by the electrical alarm device . Such an alarm device is free from any risk of ignition and can be installed at any desired location in the room, regardless of the gas appliance.
In the drawing, an alarm device designed according to the invention is illustrated in an exemplary embodiment in cross section through the housing.
In the housing 1, a pocket lamp battery 2 is fastened as a power source, an electric lamp 3 as an optical signal and an electric blade 4 as an acoustic signal on a base plate.
Furthermore, a Tric'hter-like shaft 5, open at the bottom, is provided in the housing jacket, in which a mercury thermometer 6 is accommodated, the spherical head 7 of which is surrounded by platinum moor bodies 8, which are provided with a platinum wire serving as a glow wire. 9 are attached to the thermometer 6. The thermometer has two superimposed contacts M and 11 in the riser pipe 6. The lower contact, labeled 10, of the thermometer is connected to one pole of the battery 2, while the other contact, labeled 11, is connected to one pole of the optical and acoustic signal whose second contacts are connected to the second battery pole. This means that both signals are switched on at the same time when there is a power failure.
This alarm device is extremely sensitive, as the platinum bog reacts to even small amounts of luminous gas. Flue gas u. Like. Gas reacts quickly and therefore gives an immediate alarm both in the event of gas being released and in the event of fire fires.
In order to also activate signals at locations outside the accident area, the optical and acoustic signals are connected in parallel with two connection terminals 14 attached to the outside of the housing in the circuit of the battery, to which connection contacts any signals are electrically connected and thus with the circuit be effectively connected

can. The entire alarm device can, for example, be attached with the eyelet attached to the housing at any point in the room, independent of the gas device and the electrical power network.
