Fig. 1 der Zeichnung zeigt schematisch den Aufnahmevorgang.

Device for the production of photographic images from bird's eye view.

The production of photos from the bird's eye view is associated with relatively high costs, so that it is only carried out in urgent cases.

The invention relates to a device for making photographs from a bird's eye view with the aid of a balloon, in which a support cable is attached to one point on the earth and a tether is attached to another point, the other ends of which are connected to one another and held taut by a balloon. The support cable is used to attach a rail that assumes the direction of the support cable with certainty and on which the camera is freely suspended.

Fig. 1 of the drawing shows schematically the recording process. At x, the suspension cable T is attached to the ground, while the other end is attached to the balloon B. The balloon strives

take on a hemisphere, the center of which is x and the radius of which is the rope tying the balloon.

In order to give the suspension cable a certain direction, which is the main base for setting the optical axis on the object to be picked up, one end of an auxiliary or holding rope H is attached to this at point z, while the other end is attached at point y, so that
 EMI1.2

An adjustment device R for the camera is attached to the suspension cable, which with certainty decreases the direction of the suspension cable, so that the camera can be gimbaled about a horizontal and a vertical axis.

The recording process is as follows: After the balloon B (the line connecting the attachment points x and y should be in the prevailing wind direction) has been raised, the necessary angle of inclination and rotation of the camera is determined. After setting the angle, the camera is pulled up on the suspension cable and the camera shutter is then triggered electrically from the ground.

Fig. 2 shows the fastening device of the camera on the suspension cable. In order to compensate for the wind pressure, an envelope 8 which can be filled with air and which has the same air resistance as the camera carrier 4 including the camera is provided on the camera carrier 4 at the same distance from the pivot point 5 as the camera. The extension piece 3 is preferably detachably connected to the camera support piece 4.

FIG. 3 shows the side view of the device according to FIG. 2.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Device for the production of photographic images from bird's eye view with the help of a bullon, on whose support cable the camera is attached, characterized in that a tether is connected to the support cable, so that the balloon at a certain altitude and in a certain direction, which is transferred from a rail to the camera, can be held to the object to be recorded.
