   Zur Herstellung von   Schweissbändern für Hute wurde bisher   Leder und Kunstleder verwendet. 



  Diese Werkstoffe hatten in Ansehung des erwähnten Anwendungszweckes den Nachteil, dass der sich an der Innenseite der Bänder ansetzende   Körperschweiss   die in das Leder oder Kunstleder während ihrer Aufarbeitung gelangten chemischen Mittel und Farbstoff löste und hiedurch häufig nicht nur eine Verfärbung der Stirn und der an das Band angrenzenden Zonen der   Innenseite   des Hutes, sondern bisweilen auch   Entzündungen   auf der Haut der Stirn verursachte. wobei die durch die   Sehweissbildung     entstehenden   Flecken am Leder unästhetisch wirkten. 



   Insofern man bisher Bänder aus   feuchtigkeitsdurchlässi ? em laterial, wie   Geweben, verwendete, konnten diese den an sie gestellten Anforderungen nicht gerecht werden, da der Schweiss ohne weiters
