Die Ringe 3 a bzw. 14.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Control device for switch systems.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
When moving the adjusting lever 11 from the lower to the upper end position, the adjusting roller 1 rotates counter-clockwise. The lower wire pull dl with the slider 6 is moved to the right and the roller 2 of the device for setting the switch is also moved in the opposite direction to the clockwise direction. The upper wire pull dz moves to the left and with this also the slider 5, and the bolt 7 comes into engagement with the control part 3, whereby this is turned over, as
EMI2.1
so that the roller 2 of the adjusting device cannot be rotated any further, the slide 6 cannot be moved any further, which is equivalent to holding the slide 5 in place, as indicated by the hatched part X in FIG.
The device according to the invention also works when not the slide 5, but the roller 2 is held by some obstacle. In each of these cases, the nose 14 of the control piece 4 cannot enter the recess Vi of the control piece 5 and the slide 6 cannot be moved any further or the lever 11 cannot be rotated into its upper end position. When moving the control lever 11 from the upper to the lower end position, the process is analogous and therefore does not need to be described again.
The recesses Vi, V, in the sliders 5, 6 are arranged so that when the function is free of problems, the control parts 3 and 4 can be turned over by the bolts 7 and 8 and the control parts 3 or 4 can enter the recesses Vj, of the sliders 5 and 6, which is made impossible when an obstacle occurs.
Since both sliders 5, 6 are connected on the side of the switch with relatively long wire pulls, on the side of the control lever only by short connecting wires, the extension of the wire pull on the side of the switch is noticeable to a significant extent through stretching due to the tensile stress. If the slider that approaches this when actuating the adjusting lever 11 is referred to as the first slide and the slider moving away from the adjusting lever as the second slider, when the adjusting lever is turned from one end position to the other, the latter covers a path that equals the path of the first slide minus extension of the wire tension due to stretching due to tensile stress.
Corresponding to this difference in the advance of the two sliders is the switching of the switch by forming the recesses VI, Vj! only possible if both
Sliders 5, 6 are shifted relative to each other by that distance which corresponds to twice the stroke of the wire train minus the permissible extension of the whole wire train according to tensile stress. The described arrangement of the device by means of sliding pieces designed as slides

fulfill the same task as the sliders 5, 6 (Fig. 1-4). The two rollers 5 a and 6 a, each provided with two chain tracks of the usual type and each with three ring flanges, are rotatably mounted on the shaft 20, which is firmly seated in the housing 21. One of the two rollers is with one strand of the wire

Mistake.
The third, middle flange of each roller is also provided with recesses, which essentially correspond to the recesses Vi and V2 (Fig. 1-4) in terms of effect. The control parts are rotatably seated on shafts 22 and 23, which are fixedly mounted in the housing.

placed, whose rings 4 a with the outer flanges of the roller 5 a and whose ring 14 a cooperates with the middle flange of the roller 6 a. The parts 3 a and M a of the other control part work together with the two outer flanges of 6 a and with the middle flange of 5 a.
The rings 3a and 4a of the control parts correspond to the fork-shaped parts 3 and 4 of FIGS. The rings 13 a and 14 a act analogously to the noses 13 and 14.
The recesses of the flanges are dimensioned according to the same criteria as the length of the recesses Vr and Vs and the position of the pins 7 and 8 in Fig. 1-4,
The mode of operation of the device according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is explained with reference to the schematic FIGS. 7 and 8. In these figures there are only those. Parts shown that are required for working in one direction of movement, so the two outer flanges 4 and B of the roller 5 a and the middle flange 0 of the roller 6 a and the control part 14 a, 4 a on the axis 23. It is assumed
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
that the strand dl of the wire is pulled to the signal box and the other strand c4. is relieved.
As can be seen from the figure, the rollers 5 a and 6 a are switched on in the two strands of the wire train and move with it. During normal operation (FIG. 7), the strand and the roller 5 a perform the corresponding countermovement to the strand dl and the roller 6 a (see the arrows in FIG. 7).
The control parts 4 a are then brought into the position of FIG. 7 through the recesses in the flanges A and B (this figure shows the position of the parts shortly after the control parts have been moved). It can be seen that the disk 14 a is thus given a position such that the extension Ci of the flange C can freely pass under it during further movement in the direction of the arrows.
However, if the strand d2 of the wire train is held back by some obstacle and as a result the roller 5 a with its countermovement remains behind the roller 6 a, the changeover of the control parts has not yet taken place when the approach Ci has reached the disk 14 a. This operating case is shown in FIG. The movement of the flange C and thus the roller 6 a and the strand dl of the wire is then suddenly inhibited, and the switch attendant recognizes from the fact that the lever cannot be brought into its end position that the switch or the wire is jammed .
When actuated in the opposite direction, that is to say when the strand d2 is pulled, the flanges D, B and F work together with the control parts 13 a and 3 a on the axis 22 in an analogous manner as described above.
PATENT CLAIMS:
