Anode für Metalldampfgleichn'ichter.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Anode für Quecksilberdampfgleichrichter, bei der der Strom- zuführungsleiter von einem Rohr umgeben ist.
Die bekannten Ausführungen haben unter anderm den Nachteil, dass das Rohr in der Nähe der
Anode während des Betriebes leicht glühend wird. Da die Festigkeit des Rohres mit dem Steigen der
Temperatur erheblich abnimmt, besteht ausserdem die Gefahr, dass es namentlich an dem den Anodenkopf tragenden heissesten Ende aufgeweitet oder zerrissen wird. Ausserdem wird das Rohr durch die Beanspruchung beim Einbau und im Betrieb an der Innenseite, insbesondere an dem Ende, an dem der Eisenschaft angeschweisst ist, geschwächt.
Erfindungsgemäss ist der zwischen Leiter und Rohr befindliche Raum gegen den Gleichrichterraum vakuumdicht geschlossen und für sich entlüftet.
In der Zeichnung zeigt Fig. 1 zum Vergleich eine bekannte Anodeneinfuhrung und Fig. 2 ein Ausführungsbeispiel.
Das Rohr a (Fig. 2) ist an seiner dem Anodenkopf d abgewendeten Seite mit einer aus Kupfer oder Eisen bestehenden elastischen Platte, die durch Hartlöten oder Schweissen mit Bolzen und Flansch vakuumdicht verbunden ist, verschlossen. Die innerhalb des Rohres'a befindliche Luft wird durch den Stutzen g hindurch abgesaugt.
Die Saugstutzen sämtlicher Anoden können mit einem Vakuumapparat, der Vorvakuumpumpe oder dem Vorvaknumbehälter verbunden sein.
Durch die neue Anordnung wird einerseits das Platzen des Rohres und anderseits die Gefahr der Oxydation von innen vermieden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Metalldampfgleichrichteranode, deren Stromzuführungsleiter von einem Rohr umgeben ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der zwischen Leiter und Rohr befindliche Raum gegen den Gleichriehterraum vakuumdicht geschlossen und für sich entlüftet ist.
