Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Tariervornchtnng filr elhemische Laboratorien.

Buoyancy compensator for chemical laboratories.
This device is used for chemical analyzes, especially in sugar factory laboratories for diluting or dissolving fillings and syrups in a weight ratio of 1: 1 and for cold or hot aqueous digestion of beet syrup.
It consists of two vessels made of aluminum that can be screwed together and sealed with a sealing ring. A pouring spout is attached to the smaller part of the vessel with a volume of around 250 cm, which is used to pour the water over into the larger part of the vessel, which has a volume of around 350 cm3. Both halves of the vessel have the same weight.
When in use, the larger part of the vessel is placed on the left weighing pan and an estimated 100-200 g of syrup or filling material is poured into it. Let water run into the smaller part of the vessel on the right-hand pan until equilibrium is achieved. This means that the weight ratio 1: 1 is already established. The water is then poured into the other container via the spout and both parts of the vessel are screwed together. By warming in a water bath and shaking, the dissolution is accelerated as usual.
In the accompanying drawing, FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate an elevation of the two vessels, and FIG. 3 shows the floor plan of the screwed device.
