EMI2.1
The cutting device shown in connection with a device that enables the production of puree. FIG. 7 is a right side view of the cutting device shown in FIG. 6. FIG. 8 shows the device shown in FIG. 6, the puree device being disassembled into its individual components.
The device consists of the two arms 7 and 8, which are articulated together.
A spring 9 placed on the axis of the joint is arranged between the arms and tends to spread the arms 7 and 8. This spreading is limited by the stop 14 which is arranged on the container 6. The stop 14 is rotatable in such a way that it can be brought outside the area of the punch 13 which is attached to the arm 8 and enters the container 6.
The bottom of the container and one side wall are open and can be closed by means of cutting grids. These Sehneidroste (Fig. 3 and 4) consist of frames between which steel wires are stretched. The abutting edge strips 4, 5 of the clipping frames are bent by 450, so that the (arrow Lf fruit JO, e.g. potato, pushed through the vertical cutting grate) can be inserted so that the bottom slice immediately lies flat on the floor grate .
For cutting mornings such as potatoes and the like. Like., the device is taken in the right hand, so that the hand surrounds the arms 7 and 8, which form a spreading lever that can be compressed against the action of the spring 9. With the other hand, the fruits to be cut are placed in the container 6, u. either from above or by the fact that the fruit is pushed through the vertical cutting grate, whereby it is already cut into slices. The latter can naturally only be carried out with soft fruits, such as B. boiled potatoes.
By squeezing the hand, the plunger 13 is moved into the container so that it presses the fruit through the bottom grate. Because the known cutting grids with cutting edges made of wire are used, cooked potatoes can also be cut into slices and cubes. When using cutting knives, this is not possible because the wedge-shaped design of the knives causes the potato to crumble.
The device for producing puree consists of a handle, the two arms 50 and 60 of which are articulated to one another at 70, 80 is a spring which tends to spread the handle formed by the arms 50 and 60. The arm 50 is particularly strong and carries at its fork-shaped end a container 90 which serves to hold the fruit to be chopped. At the free end of the arm 60 sits a punch 100 which enters the container 90 when the handle is squeezed.
The container has only three side walls; H. it is open at the front wall as well as at the top and bottom. The lower edges 110 of the side walls are bent over in a U-shape so that the wire screen base 120 can be pushed into them. The latter is provided with a part 130 which is bent upwards at right angles and which closes off the lower half of the end wall of the container. The vertical edges 140 of the end walls are provided with outwardly directed flanges. A clamp 150, which has a nose 160, can be pushed onto these flanges.
The clamp is used to stiffen the container by preventing the side walls from bending apart. At the same time, it holds the wire screen bottom 120 firmly, since it rests against its upwardly bent part both from the front and from above. 270 is a stop which prevents the spring 80 from spreading the handle. This stop is expediently rotatable in such a way that it can be brought out of the area of the stamp 100 if one wants to have free access to the interior of the container 90 for the purpose of cleaning. On the front end of the arm 60, an angle lever is placed, the part 180 of which is hollow and engages around the arm 60 from above and from the sides. Slits 190 are provided in part 180, which projections 200 of arm 60 encompass.
A fork 210 is also articulated at 220 on the part 180, the bent ends 230 of which embrace the arm 50.
The fruit to be chopped, for example potato, is placed in the container 90. The device is then grasped with the left hand, for example, so that the handle 50, 60 is grasped. The part 240 of the angle lever is grasped with the right hand and pivoted in the direction of the arrow 260 so that the punch 100 presses the potato through the sieve 110. The angle lever 180, 240 rotates around the pin 200 and is supported on the strut: nu. The latter, in turn, is supported with its bent-over ends 230 on the sieve bottom 1. 20, which is so long that it rests against the ends 230 of the strut from below after it has been pushed into the container (FIG. 6).
In this way, the force required to push even raw fruits through the sieve bottom is achieved.
EMI2.2
if the arrangement is only to be required for the production of puree, the sieve bottom must be permanently installed. In the case of the device described, it is possible to break it down into its individual parts (FIG. 8). The device can then be used to chop fruit in slices, strips or cubes by inserting appropriate self-service grids.
