  Verfahren zur Reinigung von   Extrakten   sexualhormonartig wirkender Stoffe. 



   Die aus den verschiedensten Ausgangsmaterialien   (Sexual Organen, Harn, Faeees, pflanzlichen   Organismen) gewonnenen Rohextrakt   sexualhormonartiger   Stoffe ergeben nach den bisher hekanntgewordenen Reinigungsmethoden unbefriedigende Ausbeute an reinem Hormon. 



   Es wurde gefunden, dass durch eine   abwechselnde     Behandlung   des Extraktes mit Methylalkohol und   Petroläther   in der Weise, dass der Methylalkohol bei jeder folgenden Anwendung weiter   verdünnt wird, annähernd quantitative   Ausbeuten erhalten werden können. Während z.

   B. nach einem bekannten Verfahren das das Hormon begleitende Lipoproteid in der Weise abgeschieden wird. dass ein Extrakt des Hormons in   einem   Aceton-Alkoholgemisch wiederholt mit Wasser ausgeschüttelt wird. werden nach dem vorliegenden Verfahren Begleitstoffe des Hormons durch Schütteln eines   wässrig-methyl alkoholischen   Extraktes des Hormons mit Petrol- äther aus der methylalkoholischen   Losung entfernt, wobei   das Hormon quantitativ in dem wässrigen Methylalkohol zurückbleibt. 



   Man verfährt z. B. wie folgt :
Man löst rohes   Hormonöl   in Methylalkohol und gibt soviel Wasser hinzu. dass die Lösung etwa 700/0 Methylalkohol enthält. Diese Lösung wird erschöpfend mit Petroläther extrahiert, alsdann die   methylalkoholische Losung durch weiteren   Zusatz von Wasser bis auf
