In einem Flammofen 1 werden durch eine Düse 2 Brennstoff (z. B. Kohlenstaub) und Luft eingeblasen, so dass sich das Schmelzbad 3 bildet. Die Abgase des Flammofens streichen durch den Rekuperator 4, durch dessen Rohrsystem 5 die vorzuwärmende Verbrennungsluft geleitet wird. Das in dem als Schachtofen ausgebildeten Vorofen 6 bei verhältnismässig niedriger Temperatur vorbehandelte Gut wird durch die Austragöffnung 7 in die Beschickungsmulde 8 abgelassen und absatzweise mittels einer Fördervorrichtung 9 durch eine an der hinteren Stirnwand des Flammofens vorgesehene Öffnung 10, die durch die Tür 11 verschliessbar ist, in den Flammofen aufgegeben.
Die während dieses Beschickungsvorganges in den Flammofen einströmende kalte Luft kann praktisch das Bad nicht abkÜhlen. da die Besehiekungs- öffnung 10 so angeordnet ist, dass die eintretende Luft sofort in den Gasabzugskanal j ? 2 gelangen kann.
Der Ofen wird zweckmässig mit Saugzug betrieben, der durch einen Ventilator 15 erzeugt wird. Die abgesaugten Gase entweichen durch den Abzug 14.
Die in Fig. 2 dargestellte Ausführungsform unterscheidet sich von der vorstehend beschriebenen im wesentlichen lediglich durch die Verwendung eines Drehrohrofens 15 statt des Schachtofens 6. Der Flammofen wird zweckmässig so gross bemessen, dass die Beschickung in langen Zeitabschnitten absatzweise erfolgen kann. Der untere Teil des Schachtofens oder ein entsprechend ausgebildeter Behälter 16 unterhalb des Drehrohrofens dienen als Vorratsbehälter für das vorgebrannte Gut.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zut Herstellung von Schmelzzement in einem Schmelzofen mit Vorbrennofen, der durch die Abgase des Schmelzofen beheizt wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Rohgutgemiseh aus dem Vorbrennofen mit hoher Temperatur entnommen und durch von aussen betätigte Vorrichtungen dem Schmelzofen zugeführt wird.

Fuel (e.g. coal dust) and air are blown into a flame furnace 1 through a nozzle 2, so that the molten bath 3 is formed. The exhaust gases from the furnace pass through the recuperator 4, through whose pipe system 5 the combustion air to be preheated is passed.
