preferably on the outlet side, an adjustable throttle element 7 of any type. This is expediently partially closed during the annealing process, so that only a small amount of gas passes through the annealing chamber, but before and after annealing it is opened so wide that a strong gas flow flushes through the annealing chamber to cool the annealing material quickly. By setting the throttle logic accordingly, the cooling time of the annealing material can be influenced within wide limits and the furnace can be largely adapted to different annealing material and different annealing processes.
In addition, when the throttle element is closed, the attachment muffle can be refilled during the annealing operation without air entering the annealing chamber.
To heat the container 3, the hot gases leaving the glow chamber can be used by brushing the container 3 with heat exchange, for which purpose this z. B. can be arranged in the region of the channel 5. Combustible components of the evacuating gases can be burned to heat the container 3.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Electric annealing furnace, the annealing chamber of which is connected to the outside air with the interposition of oxygen-absorbing devices, characterized in that these devices also serve to generate additional protective gas, which is fed to the annealing chamber together with the nitrogen in the air, optionally passed through it.
