  Vorrichtung zum Schutz von Ski-Schienen gegen Sprengen. 



   Die Laufschienen von Skiern zeigen die Neigung, in der   Längsrichtung   zu springen. Teils rührt dies von Beanspruchungen her, die durch das ins Holz eindringende und nachher   frierende Wasser   auf die Faser ausgeübt werden, teils von Biegungsspannungen quer zur Längsachse der Schiene, wie sie beim Fahren und insbesondere beim Springen auftreten. Besonders das hintere Ende zeigt diese Neigung zum Rissigwerden, was zu einem vorzeitigen Unbrauchbarwerden der Schiene führen kann. 



   Es wurde bereits auf verschiedene Weise versucht, diesem Übelstande abzuhelfen, z. B. durch Verstärken des Hinterendes, Einhüllen desselben in eine Blechkapsel oder Einschlagen eines Wellblech. 



  Durch diese Mittel wird aber der Zweck teils nicht erreicht, teils treten andere Übeltände auf. 



   Im folgenden wird der Schutz für eine neuartige Vorrichtung beansprucht, die das Problem in vollkommener Weise löst ; es wird in der Nähe der gefährdeten Stelle, also insbesondere am hinteren Ende der Schiene, eine Niete, Schraube oder ein Zapfen aus zähem Werkstoff (Metall) durch das Holz im allgemeinen parallel zur Lauffläche geführt, welcher die Biegungsbeanspruchungen quer zur Längsachse der Schiene aufnimmt. 



   Fig. 1 zeigt im Auf-und Grundriss eine vorstehende Niete mit Unterlagsplatten, Fig. 2 eine Niete mit versenkten Köpfen, Fig. 3 eine   ebensolche   mit verdeckten Köpfen. 



   Es bedeutet a die Schiene, b deren Hinterende,   cdie Ausnehmungfür die Seehundfelle,   e den Körper der Niete, Schraube od. dgl., f die Unterlagsseheibe gemäss Fig. 1, g die runden Schliessköpfe gemäss derselben Figur,   A   die versenkten Köpfe gemäss Fig. 2 und 3, i die   Deekplättchen.

   The rails of skis show a tendency to jump in the longitudinal direction. This is partly due to the stresses exerted on the fiber by the water that penetrates the wood and then freezes, and partly to bending stresses across the longitudinal axis of the rail, such as those that occur when driving and especially when jumping. The rear end in particular shows this tendency to crack, which can lead to the splint becoming unusable prematurely.



   Attempts have already been made in various ways to remedy this drawback, e.g. B. by reinforcing the rear end, wrapping it in a sheet metal capsule or wrapping a corrugated sheet.



  By these means, however, the end is sometimes not achieved, and sometimes other evils occur.



   In the following, protection is claimed for a novel device which completely solves the problem; a rivet, screw or a tenon made of tough material (metal) is guided through the wood, generally parallel to the running surface, near the endangered point, especially at the rear end of the rail, which absorbs the bending stresses across the longitudinal axis of the rail.
