Multi-part guide vane for centrifugal pumps.
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In order for the described effect to occur, the bevel is to be formed on the movable part according to FIG. 3. It can be straight or curvilinear, but it must always be adapted to the rest of the profile of the movable part with sufficient rounding at point 16. The location of the
EMI2.1
the walls of the channel formed when the guide vanes are rotated form with one another, will not be larger than about 14, because otherwise the flow in this channel will detach itself from the walls. The channel angle depends on how far the movable guide vane parts have to be turned in the closing direction for regulation. It differs from case to case.
The stated requirement that the channel angle must not exceed the value of approximately 140 therefore requires a certain position of the bevel to the pivot point for each largest angle of rotation of the guide vane. Designate 1'1 and 1.2 the radii from the blade pivot point 17 to the beginning 16 or end 18 of the channel, ö the angle that the two radii form with one another, and I the length of the channel 16-18, then you see between the Twist angle tp and the extension angle s the approximate relationship
EMI2.2
The value of s to be calculated from this for the maximum value of tp must not be greater than approximately 14.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Multi-part guide vane for centrifugal pumps, consisting of a rotatable and a stationary part, characterized in that the rotatable part (9) facing the impeller is mounted about an axis (8) located approximately in its center and at its end (11) facing away from the impeller ) is beveled so that in the fully open position the rotatable part is pressed against the stationary part (10) by the water pressure - and together with this forms a body of constantly limited cross-section and that when the rotatable blade part is rotated between this and the stationary part a gap or channel (15) acting as a diffuser in the direction of flow becomes free.
