  Verfahren zur Herstellung von Schallplatten. 



   Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schallplatten derjenigen Art, bei welcher eine dünne Platte aus Zelluloid od. dgl. auf der einen oder auf beiden Seiten mit einem farbigen Aufdruck, einer Inschrift, einem Bild od. dgl. versehen wird und wobei die Tonrillen auf einem Teil oder Teilen der bedruckten Platten-   fläche   eingepresst werden. Das Einpressen erfolgt mittels einer Matrize aus Metall od. dgl. Diese Matrize wird von einer Mutterplatte abgeformt, und kann maschinell oder von Hand aus angewendet werden. 



   Es ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, Schallplatten im allgemeinen dadurch herzustellen, dass die   Tonrillen   auf der Plattenoberfläche mit Hilfe einer Matrize unter einem Druck von 200 Atm. bei einer Temperatur von etwa   1100 C eingepresst   werden. 



   Es ist auch bereits vorgeschlagen worden, Schallplatten aus Zelluloid od. dgl. mit vorher aufgedruckten farbigen   Aufschriften,   Zeichen od. dgl. dadurch herzustellen, dass die Tonrillen über dem Aufdruck unter einem Druck von etwa 140 Atm. eingepresst werden, wobei der Aufdruck mit dem Körper der Platte vereinigt wird. 



   Die vorliegende Erfindung besteht nun in einem verbesserten Verfahren zur Herstellung derartiger beaufdruekter Schallplatten aus Zelluloid od. dgl. Durch Versuche wurde festgestellt, dass der farbige Aufdruck viel   unverwischbarer   wird, wenn die nach Anbringung des Aufdruckes erfolgende Einpressung der Tonrillen unter einem etwa zwei bis drei Minuten andauernden Druck bei gleichzeitiger Erwärmung auf eine Temperatur zwischen 95  C und 120  C erfolgt. 



   Der farbige Aufdruek kann dann unter sehr grossen Schwierigkeiten entfernt werden. 



   Bei dem Einpressen der Tonrille wird die Matrize unter Erwärmung auf etwa 105  C unter einem Druck von   125-140 kglent2 auf   die Platte während einer Zeit von etwa zwei bis drei Minuten einwirken gelassen, worauf die Platte aus der Presse genommen und während einer entsprechenden Zeit   abkiihlen   gelassen wird, bevor sie der üblichen Reinigung und den Vollendungsarbeiten, welche für die Gebrauchsfertigkeit erforderlich sind, unterworfen wird.

   The invention relates to records of the type in which a thin plate of celluloid or the like is provided on one or both sides with a colored print, an inscription, a picture or the like, and the sound grooves on one part or parts of the printed board surface. The pressing takes place by means of a die made of metal or the like. This die is molded from a mother plate and can be used by machine or by hand.



   It has already been proposed to produce records in general by making the sound grooves on the record surface with the aid of a die under a pressure of 200 atm. pressed in at a temperature of around 1100 C.



   It has also already been proposed to produce records from celluloid or the like with previously printed colored inscriptions, characters or the like by placing the sound grooves above the imprint under a pressure of about 140 atm. are pressed in, the imprint being combined with the body of the plate.



   The present invention consists in an improved method for producing such impressed records from celluloid or the like. Experiments have shown that the colored print becomes much more indelible if the sound grooves are pressed in after the print is made in about two to three minutes continuous pressure with simultaneous heating to a temperature between 95 C and 120 C.



   The colored print can then be removed with great difficulty.



   When the clay groove is pressed in, the die is allowed to act on the plate for a time of about two to three minutes while being heated to about 105 C under a pressure of 125-140 kglent2, after which the plate is removed from the press and allowed to cool for a corresponding time left before subjecting it to the usual cleaning and finishing operations required to ensure it is ready for use.
