  Knetbare Dichtung oder Packung für Stopfbuchsen od. dgl. 



   Es sind   Stopfbüchsenpaekungen   bekannt, die aus einer in eine   Netzhulle   aus Draht eingefüllten weichen Packungsmasse (Graphit und Asbest) bestehen. Aus den Maschen der netzartigen Umhüllung kann die weiche Packungsmasse hervortreten und schmieren auf den bewegten, eingepackten Maschinenteil wirken. Ein Vorteil dieser bekannten Packungen ist der, dass sie infolge der Netzumhüllung wie ein Strang, also leicht und sauber, gehandhabt (in den Packungsraum eingebracht) werden können. Ihr Nachteil besteht darin, dass die Netzhülle,   gleichgültig,   ob sie umhüllend oder durchdringbar die Packungsmasse zusammenhält, dem freien Einkneten der Masse immer entgegenwirkt, so dass solche Packungen sich nicht zum Ausfüllen von Räumen unregelmässiger Form eignen.

   Eine Packung, die auch dieser Forderung entspricht, bildet den Gegenstand der Erfindung, die darin besteht, dass der die weiche, knetbare Masse   umsehliessende,   in an sich bekannter Weise ihre Handhabung als Strang sichernde Schlauch aus derart weichem, losem Stoffgewebe od. dgl. besteht, dass die weiche Masse ungehindert durch diesen Schlauch sieh in beliebige Raumquersehnitte füllend einkneten lässt. Praktisch genügt ein Gewebe aus einzelnen Fäden oder Fadengruppen, die gerade ausreichen, die Strangform im Handel (z. B. während des Transportes solcher Packungen) sowie beim Einlegen in den Packungsraum zu erhalten, die aber,
