Ebullioskop.

Ebullioscope.
The invention relates to improvements to ebullioscopes which are intended on the one hand to keep the thermometer display unchanged and on the other hand to accelerate the heating of the liquid to be examined in the cooking vessel.
The drawing shows an ebullioscope with the new facilities. 1 is a front view, FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section taken perpendicular thereto, FIGS. 3 and 4 show individual parts in a view.
The device consists in the usual way of a cooking vessel b, which is from the jacket a with the exhaust
EMI1.1
Inside the jacket is the heating device e on the plate t. The bottom of the cooking vessel has metal tips x according to the invention on the inside (FIG. 4), which accelerate the heating of the liquid to be examined.
In addition, there is a perforated plate in the cooking vessel which also forms the water mark; c used (Fig. 3), which with the increased heating of the liquid caused by the tips x and the resulting entrainment of liquid by the

and which according to the invention is cranked in its lower part in such a way that the cooler is to the side of the cooking vessel. In addition, a part of this bent piece is arranged both outside the cooler and outside the cooking vessel.
This arrangement ensures that the backflow of the condensed liquid, which is hindered in the usual straight pipe by the rising vapors and thus leads to fluctuations in the thermometer reading or to inaccurate readings, occurs evenly. The tube g is namely at the upper end of the crank on the outside less hot than on the inside, because it is surrounded there by more cooling water than on. the inside. As a result, the rising alcohol vapors condense mainly on the outside of the pipe and the liquid flows off there, while the vapor can rise unhindered on the inside.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Ebullioscope, characterized in that the lower end of the condensation tube (g) connecting the cooking vessel (a) and the cooler (h) is bent in such a way that the cooler lies to the side of the cooking vessel, with part of the bent pipe section outside the cooler and of the cooking vessel is arranged.
