Fig. 2 ist ein Querschnitt nach Linie A-. 8 der Fig. 1. Fig. 4 ist eine Seitenansicht zu Fig. 3.

Drive for someone sitting on the other side of a wall, swiveling in two planes
Headlights, in particular for motor vehicles.
The invention relates to a drive for a headlight on motor vehicles which can be pivoted in two planes and which is to be adjusted through a wall.
It is already known to throw the self-thrower in one plane in such drives
EMI1.1
while in the other plane it is pivoted by a pair of gear drives. which are mounted in and on the hollow axle. A handwheel is provided for each of the two levels of rotation. or the drive has only a single handwheel, which can be alternately coupled to the hollow axle or to the gear drives. In both cases the headlight can only be adjusted in one plane and only then in the other plane; this makes it easier to find goals for which it has to be adjusted in both planes. delayed.
In addition, the known drives of this type have handwheels. if they are used to rotate the headlight in both planes,
EMI1.2
However, the headlight can be adjusted much easier if the turns of the hand and the headlight are in the same direction.
Such identical drives have already become known in the case of drives for headlights through linkages or cardan shafts: but they all have the disadvantage peculiar to these types of drive. that # the deflection of the headlight is limited and that even with the possible deflections, the drive is difficult to move and jams in the limit positions.
The invention now consists in creating a drive in the same direction for an unrestricted deflection of the headlight and a constant drive force in a headlight which can be adjusted by a pair of gear drives. that # the shafts of the two gears that are perpendicular to the support axis of the headlight are parallel. One of the two transverse shafts is expediently used to pivot the headlight in both planes.
Two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. In Fig. 1, a headlight with rack and pinion gear is drawn in longitudinal section. Fig. 2 is a cross section along line A-. 8 of FIG. 1. FIG. 3 shows a headlight with a bevel gear in a partial longitudinal section. FIG. 4 is a side view of FIG. 3.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a hollow axle s extends through the wall 1 of the vehicle and is in flanges! b rotatably mounted. On the ends of axis a are

and t comb; the wave. v is stored in the hollow shaft a. The two pairs of bevel gears q, r and s, t have the same gear ratio.
The hand lever 7 and the headlight arm o are expediently pinned with the bolts i, i in such a way that the axes of the hand lever l and the headlight p are parallel.
The examples shown work as follows:
In the plane of FIG. 1, the headlight is rotated in that the hand lever 1 is pivoted about the axis i; while the pinion 11 moves the rack, and as a result, the other pinion h and the headlamp carrier o fixed to it rotates by the same angle and in the same sense as the lever 1. In the arrangement shown in FIG. 3, the movement of the lever l Transferred via the bevel gear pairs q, i- and t, s again to the same extent and in the same sense on the headlamp support w firmly connected to the bevel gear s, since the bevel gears g and s lie on opposite sides of the axis of the shaft 1 '(Fig . 4).
However, while in the example of FIGS. 1 and 2 the headlight cannot perform a full rotation in the plane parallel to the image, here it has been moved sideways from the hollow axis a by sufficient extension of the shaft w that it surrounds a complete circle can describe the shaft M 'over the hollow axle'.
The headlight is pivoted perpendicular to the image plane by rotating the hollow axis a by means of the handle 1.
According to the invention, the headlight can be adjusted directly in the desired direction with a single grip, without having to first move it in one plane
EMI2.2
and the. Rotations of the headlight and the handle are in the same direction. The adjustment of the hand lever to the target to be illuminated also gives the desired headlight position without further ado. In addition, the angles of rotation are unlimited and the required drive force always remains the same.
