Zweiachsiges Schienenfahrzeug.

Two-axle rail vehicle.
The invention relates to a two-axle rail vehicle, the axes of which are inevitably adjusted radially by means of cardan joints and when negotiating curves by means of a steering frame which is freely movable sideways between them and under the car body, which supports the drive motor or motors. In known rail vehicles of this type, the car body rests on trunnions of a known type arranged in the vertical axis plane of the uniaxial bogies. The two car axles therefore bear the entire weight of the car body alone, while the wheel axles of the steering frame only absorb the weight of the motors. It has now proven to be advantageous to load the wheel axles of the steering frame more or less with part of the weight of the car body.
For this purpose, the car body is supported between the drive axle box on the drawbar connecting them to the steering frame. The weight of the car body is thus distributed over four axles, but not evenly as in the known four-axle bogies, the position of which in relation to the rails is also given and cannot be changed by a steering frame. When the steering frame is divided into two parts, it is advisable to rigidly unite its parts with the uniaxial bogie on the same side by means of a hollow drawbar to form a whole.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in FIG. 1 in side view, FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate a part on a larger scale and FIG. 4 is an end view from the right of FIG.
The wheel axles 1 are surrounded by a box 2 which is connected by a hollow drawbar j to the nearer part of the steering frame 4, which is divided into two parts, to form a rigid whole. Each steering frame part rests on an axle and carries a drive motor. Each drive motor drives the wheel axle 1 on its side by means of a shaft guided in the relevant drawbar after the wheel axle box. The car body J is supported on the drawbar between the wheel axles 1 by means of the suspension spring 6 of a crosshead 7 and a pivot pin or track bearing 8. This support makes it possible to distribute the weight of the car body as desired on both the drive axles 1 and the steering frame halves.
A comparison of Figs. 2 and 3 shows that the drive axles and the steering frame can move relative to the car body in the longitudinal direction approximately by the piece 9, so that shocks exerted on the underframe or on the car body are compensated and a return of the drive axis in the central position can be brought about.
