Description

  Rollenlager.

Bildet man nun z.

  Roller bearings.

The invention relates to an improvement and a further embodiment of the roller bearing according to
Patent No. 98841. In the parent patent, the rollers with spherically curved end pressure surfaces lie against conical end pressure surfaces of the raceway. The same effect as in the parent patent is achieved according to the present additional invention in that the end pressure surfaces on the rollers are not spherical but conical and the shoulders on the raceways are convex or concave.

The conical design has the advantage that the end surfaces on the rollers are much easier to manufacture than spherical ones. Furthermore, it is achieved by the arrangement according to the present invention that the contact between the rollers and the races as long as possible on a line and not on one
Area takes place. This area increases in width with wear. If you now z. If, for example, the contact points on the rings are strongly convex, the width of the contact surface must remain smaller even if wear occurs, and the more the contact surface on the ring is convex, the lower the friction.

The invention is shown in the drawing in two figures. In both exemplary embodiments, the end surfaces of the rollers are conical; In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the end pressure surfaces of the races are convex and in FIG. 2 they are concave.
