Description

Rollenlager.

Roller bearings. The invention relates to a further embodiment of the roller bearing according to patent claim of the main patent, according to which the rollers with tapering end pieces after a rotational surface against the likewise tapering after a rotational surface lugs of the races with edges, which by the penetration of the cylindrical part and the after a surface of revolution tapering end pieces of the role are formed. According to the present additional invention, the surfaces of rotation are designed kege lig at the ends of the rollers. This has the advantage that the end faces on the rollers are much easier to manufacture than if they were spherical.

Three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in one figure each in the drawing. In all three exemplary embodiments, the surfaces of rotation at the ends of the rollers 1 are conical forms; In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the surfaces of rotation of the lugs on the raceway 2 are conical, convex in FIG. 2 and concave in FIG. 3.

The contact between the rollers and the races is expediently carried out for as long as possible on a line and not on a surface, despite the wear. This area increases in width with wear. If the approaches of the rings at the points of contact are strongly convex, the width of the contact surface will remain small even if wear occurs, and as a result the friction will remain less the more the contact surface at the approaches of the rings is convex.
