Color box with a palette that can be opened.
The subject of the invention is a paint box which is provided with a resilient or positively guided palette that automatically swings out when the lid is opened. When the cover is opened, the pallet jumps into the position of use without any special handling being required.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention; 1 is a diagram with the lid open and the pallet open, FIG. 2 a side view with a half-closed pallet and lid, FIG. 3 shows a further exemplary embodiment with a positive connection between the lid and the pallet.
The box a is provided with a lid b and a pallet c that can be folded underneath. The hinge parts d of the pallet and the hinge parts e of the box are connected by a wire f, the bent ends g of which protrude from the hinge parts and lie on the one hand against a box wall and on the other hand against the inner surface of the pallet so that the wire f is under when the lid is folded Torsional stress. A piece of wire h supplements the missing part of the axis due to the shorter construction of the wire f.
When the lid b is opened, the pallet c also moves upwards to the same extent as the lid b (Fig. 2) until the lid releases the pallet and the pallet is fully opened due to the tension in the wire f (Fig. 1.
The device described is particularly suitable for paint fountains which are made from sheet metal, because the hinge eyes can be conveniently cut, bent and rolled up from a sheet of sheet metal with the vertical wall parts. The hinge sides of the cup-like components also limit the opening movement of the pallet.
The suspension can also be used in other ways, e.g. B. brought about by a special leaf or helical spring, or a positive connection of the pallet with the cover can be provided. The latter case is illustrated in FIG. 3, for example, in which the lid movement is transmitted to the pallet by toothed segments and gear wheels.
