Abnehmbarer Deckel für Biergläser u. dgl.
Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Deckelverschluss für Trinkgläser u. dgl., welcher leicht vollständig vom Glase abgenommen werden kann und hiedurch eine gute Reinigung sowohl des Glases als auch des Deckels ermöglicht, beim Trinken und Einschänken nicht hinderlich ist und die Vorteile eines billigen, einfachen, reinen Verschlusses von Biergläsern u. dgl. in sich vereinigt.
Dieser neue Verschluss besteht aus einem um den halben Umfang des Glases herumreichenden Bügel, dessen Enden federnd in diametral gegenüberliegenden Vertiefungen des Glases festsitzen. An diesem Bügel ist in der Mitte durch eine drehbare Öse der Deckel befestigt, so dass beim Umlegen des Bügels von der einen Glashälfte auf die andere der Deckel über die Öffnung des Glases hinweggeschoben wird und an der Seite des Glases herabhängt.
Auf der Zeichnung ist ein mit Jem neuen Deckelverschluss versehenes Henkelglas dargestellt. Fig. 1 veranschaulicht das Glas mit dem Deckelverschlnss von oben gesehen und Fig. 2 in der Seitenansicht bei geschlossenem Deckel ; Fig. 3 ist eine Seitenansicht bei halbgeöffnetem, Fig. 4 bei ganz geöffnetem Deckel.
Der um den halben Umfang des Glases a herumreichende federnde Bügel b greift mit den Enden c ineinander diametral gegenüberliegende Vertiefungen des Glases ein und ist drehbar. An den Bügel b ist in der Mitte eine drehbare Öse f angebracht, welche an dem Deckel befestigt ist. Um das Glas zu öffnen, wird der Bügel b aus der in Fig. 2 gezeichneten Stellung nach oben hin umgelegt, so dass er den Deckel d, wie aus Fig. 3 erkennbar, über die Öffnung des Glases hinwegschiebt. Ist der Bügel b vollständig umgelegt, so dass er um die entgegengesetzte Glashälfte wie vorher herumgreift, so hängt der Deckel von dem Bügel b an der Seite des Glases herab.
Das Abnehmen des Verschlusses vom Glase geschieht durch Auseinanderziehen des federnden Bügels d, wodurch der Eingriff der beiden Enden in die Vertiefungen des Glases aufgehoben wird. Der Verschluss ist natilrlich für Gltiser mit und ohne Henkel verwendbar.

The present invention relates to a lid closure for drinking glasses u. Like. This new closure consists of a bracket that extends around half the circumference of the glass, the ends of which are resiliently seated in diametrically opposite recesses in the glass. The lid is attached to this bracket in the middle by a rotatable eyelet so that when the bracket is turned from one half of the glass to the other, the lid is pushed over the opening of the glass and hangs down on the side of the glass.
The drawing shows a glass handle provided with a new lid closure. FIG. 1 shows the glass with the lid closure seen from above and FIG. 2 shows a side view with the lid closed; Fig. 3 is a side view with the cover half open, Fig. 4 with the cover fully open.
The resilient bracket b, which extends around half the circumference of the glass a, engages with the ends c in diametrically opposed recesses of the glass and is rotatable. A rotatable eyelet f, which is attached to the lid, is attached in the middle of the bracket b. In order to open the glass, the bracket b is turned upwards from the position shown in FIG. 2, so that it pushes the cover d, as can be seen from FIG. 3, over the opening of the glass. If the bracket b is completely folded over so that it grips around the opposite half of the glass as before, the lid hangs down from the bracket b on the side of the glass.
The closure is removed from the glass by pulling the resilient bracket d apart, as a result of which the engagement of the two ends in the indentations of the glass is canceled. The closure can of course be used for glasses with and without handles.
