Abstract
La invención proporciona nuevas composiciones y métodos para la transformación y regeneración de un explante embrionario de semillas de monocotiledóneas. Los métodos que se proponen en el presente documento pueden incluir la aplicación de uno o más períodos de inducción de yemas, utilizando medios que comprenden auxina y citoquinina, a un explante embrionario de semilla de monocotiledónea transformado con un polinucleótido heterólogo, para lograr una regeneración más eficiente. Reivindicación 1: Un método de producir una planta o parte de una planta monocotiledónea genéticamente modificada que comprende: introducir un polinucleótido heterólogo dentro de al menos una célula de un explante embrionario de una semilla de monocotiledónea que comprende tejido meristemático, cultivar el explante embrionario de semilla monocotiledónea en contacto con un primer medio de inducción de yemas que comprende una primera auxina y una primera citoquinina, donde el primer medio de inducción de yemas comprende una alta relación citoquinina a auxina, cultivar el explante embrionario de la semilla de monocotiledónea en contacto con un segundo medio de inducción de yemas que comprende la primera auxina o una segunda auxina, y la primera citoquinina o una segunda citoquinina, y regenerar la planta o parte de la planta monocotiledónea genéticamente modificada del explante embrionario de la semilla de monocotiledónea en contacto con un medio de regeneración.
