Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso para producir un compuesto alquenilaromático que comprende el paso de: poner en contacto una corriente de hidrocarburos que incluye un compuesto alquilaromático con vapor de agua en presencia de un catalizador de deshidrogenación adecuado para la deshidrogenación de un compuesto alquilaromático, en uno o más reactores consecutivos, en donde la relación de peso entre el vapor de agua y el compuesto alquilaromático (relación agua / hidrocarburo) es de 0,4 a 1,5, en donde el catalizador de deshidrogenación comprende tres o más de los dientes y un cuerpo, de manera tal que la sección transversal del catalizador de deshidrogenación tenga una forma de rueda dentada, y en donde el catalizador de deshidrogenación comprende, en base al peso total del catalizador de deshidrogenación, componentes como óxidos, de 30 a 90 por ciento en peso (% en peso) de hierro calculado como Fe₂O₃, de 1 a 50% en peso de potasio calculado como K₂O, de 1 a 59% en peso de cerio calculado como CeO₂, y de 0,01 a 1% en peso de itrio calculado como Y₂O₃. Además, la invención se refiere a un catalizador de deshidrogenación que comprende: de 30 a 90 por ciento en peso (% en peso) de hierro calculado como Fe₂O₃, de 1 a 50% en peso de potasio calculado como K₂O, de 1 a 59% en peso de cerio calculado como CeO₂, y de 0,01 a 1% en peso de itrio calculado como Y₂O₃, en donde el % en peso se basa en el peso total de los componentes como óxidos del catalizador de deshidrogenación, en donde el catalizador de deshidrogenación comprende al menos tres dientes y un cuerpo, de manera que la sección transversal del catalizador de deshidrogenación es una forma de rueda dentada y un proceso para sintetizar dicho catalizador.
