Abstract

Un método para el seguimiento de contenedores. El método incluye la fabricación de contenedores (24), incluyendo la formación de los contenedores (24) y la serialización de ellos con códigos legibles por máquina (26). El método incluye además el uso de los códigos legibles por máquina (26) para almacenar los datos asociados con los contenedores (24), y el suministro de los contenedores (24) a un cliente. El método incluso comprende adicionalmente la recepción por parte del cliente, los datos obtenidos de las lecturas del cliente de los códigos legibles por máquina (26); y la recepción de una o más de otras ubicaciones en una cadena de distribución en donde los contenedores (24) viajan, los datos obtenidos de las lecturas de los códigos legibles por máquina (26) en aquellas ubicaciones. El método incluso comprende adicionalmente la comparación de los datos de las lecturas del cliente y otras lecturas de los códigos legibles por máquina (26) a través de las marcas de productos, canales de distribución de productos y/o tipos de contenedores, y la proporción de los datos al cliente. En al menos algunas formas de realización, el método comprende adicionalmente la recepción por parte del cliente de una compensación por los contenedores (24), por ejemplo, una compensación por cada recarga.
