Abstract
Un proceso para llevar a cabo una reacción en una columna de reacción, donde dicho proceso comprende: proporcionar un primer reactivo a la columna de reacción en la fase líquida; contactar dicho primer reactivo con un exceso de un segundo reactivo de manera tal que la reacción tenga lugar dentro de la columna de reacción para formar un producto de bajo punto de ebullición y un producto de alto punto de ebullición, donde por lo menos una porción de dicho segundo reactivo se suministra a la columna de reacción en la fase de vapor; recuperar un primer vapor superior de la parte superior, o cerca, de la columna de reacción, donde dicho vapor superior comprende un segundo reactivo sin reaccionar y el producto de bajo punto de ebullición; y recuperar un chorro de sedimentación de la base, o cerca, de la columna de reacción que comprende el producto de alto punto de ebullición; en donde por lo menos una porción del calor requerido para vaporizar el segundo reactivo proporcionado a la columna de reacción en la fase de vapor se proporciona por intercambio de calor en un intercambiador de calor con un chorro caliente generado dentro del proceso distinto de un chorro caliente generado dentro de la columna de reacción.
