Abstract
Un revestimiento (30) para un recipiente metalúrgico que se configura para que tenga una porosidad diseñada especialmente. El revestimiento contiene una pluralidad de regiones, cada una de las cuales se extiende en un plano primario del revestimiento, donde cada región tiene un valor diferente del área total de los poros o perforaciones medida en un plano primario del revestimiento. El revestimiento (30) se puede utilizar para formar parte de la superficie de trabajo de los pisos o paredes del recipiente o toda dicha superficie. Al usarlo durante la colada, el revestimiento produce una capa amortiguadora de oxidación en la zona entre el metal fundido que se extiende desde la interfaz entre el metal fundido y las paredes y el piso del recipiente metalúrgico, de manera tal que el caudal del metal en dicha capa amortiguadora de oxidación es sustancialmente nulo, y la concentración de inclusiones endógenas, en particular de los óxidos, en dicha capa amortiguadora de oxidación es sustancialmente mayor que en la masa del metal fundido. Reivindicación 1: Una estructura de revestimiento (30) para un recipiente refractario, caracterizada porque comprende a) una primera capa (34) con una primera superficie principal (36) de la primera capa y una segunda superficie principal (38) dispuesta de manera que queda opuesta a la primera superficie principal de la primera capa, y b) una segunda capa (42) con una primera superficie principal (44) y una segunda superficie principal (46) dispuesta de manera que queda opuesta a la primera superficie principal (44) de la segunda capa; donde la segunda superficie principal (38) de la primera capa se encuentra en contacto con la primera superficie principal (44) de la segunda capa; donde la primera capa (34) comprende una pluralidad de perforaciones (60) que pasan de la primera superficie principal (36) de la primera capa a la segunda superficie principal (38) de la primera capa; donde la segunda capa (42) comprende por lo menos un volumen donde ocurre la adsorción (64), donde el por lo menos un volumen donde ocurre la adsorción (64) está en comunicación de fluidos con por lo menos una perforación de la primera capa (60), y donde el por lo menos un volumen donde ocurre la adsorción (64) está en comunicación de fluidos con la segunda superficie principal (46) de la segunda capa; y donde el área sumada en sección transversal de todas las perforaciones (60) de la primera capa (34) es menor que la máxima suma del área en sección transversal de todos los volúmenes donde ocurre la adsorción de impurezas (64) de la segunda capa (42).
