Abstract

La presente se refiere a un método para formar un sustrato no tejido dispersable que comprende las etapas de: a) polimerizar en emulsión al menos un monómero mono-etilénicamente insaturado en un polímero de emulsión; y b) neutralizar el polímero de emulsión con un neutralizante seleccionado del grupo que consiste de una amina que tiene una pKb de 4 a 7, un hidróxido alcalino, y combinaciones de los mismos para formar el aglutinante no tejido acuoso; c) poner en contacto un sustrato no tejido con el aglutinante no tejido acuoso para formar un sustrato no tejido contactado; d) calentar el sustrato no tejido contactado a una temperatura desde 120ºC a 220ºC para formar un sustrato no tejido caliente contactado; y e) sumergir el sustrato no tejido caliente contactado en un medio acuoso que tiene un pH final de menos de 5.5 para proporcionar un sustrato no tejido dispersable en donde el medio acuoso contiene un amortiguador que comprende una mezcla de ácido cítrico y citrato de sodio.
