Abstract
En un aspecto, la presente invención provee una lente oftálmica difractiva (por ejemplo, una LIO difractiva) que comprende un óptico que tiene una superficie anterior y una superficie posterior, donde el óptico proporciona un foco lejano. Una estructura difractiva frustrada que comprende una pluralidad de zonas difractivas se dispone sobre por lo menos una de estas superficies, de manera de proporcionar un foco cercano. Cada zona está separada de una zona adyacente por una limitación de zona que imparte una demora óptica a la luz incidente. Además, por lo menos dos limitaciones de zona consecutivas están configuradas de modo que una diferencia entre sus demoras de fase asociadas para al menos una longitud de onda de la luz incidente sea mayor que aproximadamente ¼ longitud de onda, a fin de dirigir una porción de la luz incidente a una ubicación entre los focos cercano y lejano.
