Abstract

En un aspecto, la presente provee un método para el diseno de una lente oftálmica difractiva (por ejemplo, una lente intraocular (LIO)), que comprende la provision de un optico que tiene una superficie refractiva anterior y una superficie refractiva posterior, donde el optico provee un poder de foco lejano (por ejemplo, en un rango de aproximadamente 18 a aproximadamente 26 dioptrías (D)). Una estructura difractiva truncada puede disponerse sobre por lo menos una de las superficies, para la generacion de un poder adicional de foco cercano (por ejemplo, en un rango de aproximadamente 3 D a aproximadamente 4 D). La estructura difractiva puede ajustarse de manera de obtener una distribucion deseada de energía optica entre los focos cercano y lejano, para un rango de tamanos de pupila.
