Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Un método para controlar malezas en un cultivo, caracterizado porque comprende aplicar a malezas que tienen una altura promedio de 4 pulgadas a 8 pulgadas, una cantidad herbicida efectiva de una composición que comprende (a) flutiacet metilo y (b) un inhibidor de p-hidroxifenilpiruvato dioxigenasa (HPPD). Reivindicación 6: El método de la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque el inhibidor de HPPD se selecciona del grupo que consiste en mesotriona, sulcotriona, nitisinina, tembotriona, topramezona, fenquinotriona, cetospiradox y tefuriltriona. Reivindicación 7: El método de la reivindicación 6, caracterizado porque el inhibidor de HPPD es mesotriona. Reivindicación 11: El método de la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque la composición además comprende un agente de protección del cultivo adicional. Reivindicación 12: El método de la reivindicación 11, caracterizado porque el agente de protección de cultivo adicional se selecciona del grupo que consiste en atracina, glifosato, glufosinato, piroxasulfona, dicamba, diflufenzopir, nicosulfuron, sales de los mismos y mezclas de dos o más de los mismos. Reivindicación 13: El método de la reivindicación 12, caracterizado porque dicho agente de protección de cultivo adicional es atracina.
