Abstract
Se describen aparatos, métodos y sistemas para detectar y medir grietas en el revestimiento de un contenedor. Un aparato típico incluye un dispositivo de exploración para captar una nube de puntos de datos mediante la medición de distancias desde el dispositivo de exploración hasta una pluralidad de puntos en la superficie del material de revestimiento, y un controlador para ajustar una malla poligonal y una superficie mínima a través de la nube de puntos de datos, una grieta que se detecta mediante una porción de la malla poligonal que contiene un grupo de polígonos conectados que se extienden más allá de la superficie mínima, superando una distancia umbral.
