Abstract

Un caño flexible submarino (1), que comprende una carcasa metálica flexible (10), un revestimiento polimérico interno (20) dispuesto en una posición radialmente externa con respecto a dicha carcasa metálica flexible (10), una envoltura polimérica protectora externa (80) y una estructura de blindaje mecánico dispuesta en una posición radialmente interna con respecto a dicha envoltura polimérica protectora externa (80); dicha estructura de blindaje mecánico está expuesta potencialmente al contacto con el agua. La estructura de blindaje mecánico incluye un blindaje resistente a la presión (30) y un blindaje dúctil (40) dispuesto en una posición radialmente externa con respecto a dicho revestimiento polimérico interno (20). La estructura de blindaje mecánico comprende una pluralidad de elementos elongados de acero al carbono (32, 42, 62), donde cada uno de dichos elementos elongados de acero al carbono (32, 42, 62) está recubierto por un encamisado de aluminio (33, 43, 63).
