La presente se refiere a un proceso para determinar un rango operativo de voltaje dependiente de la densidad de corriente y/o rango operativo de consumo de energía específico de un elemento de la celda (2) seguros y económicos de un electrolizador (1). A fin de obtener un método disponible que lleva a mejores resultados de voltaje y/o resultados de consumo de energía específico, la presente propone que el rango operativo de voltaje y/o rango operativo de consumo de energía específico determinado de acuerdo con los parámetros operativos asignados a un elemento de la celda (2).
