Abstract
Se describe un proceso para producir anhídrido maleico en bruto, a partir de un efluente de la corriente de un reactor que contiene anhídrido maleico. El efluente de la corriente del reactor entra en contacto con un solvente que tiene: un punto de ebullición normal variable entre alrededor de 250ºC y aproximadamente 350ºC; una solubilidad del ácido fumárico mínima de alrededor del 0,06% en peso a 60ºC; una solubilidad del anhídrido maleico mínima de alrededor del 10% en peso a 60ºC; una solubilidad en agua no mayor que 100 mg/l aproximadamente; una densidad que difiere de la densidad del agua en al menos 0,020 g/ml aproximadamente, y productos de la hidrólisis solubles en agua con peso molecular no mayor que el peso molecular del pentanol. El solvente puede ser no cíclico, no aromático, lineal y/o ramificado, y puede tener la estructura general R1COOR2COOR3, en la cual R1 y R3 cada uno de ellos, son grupos C3 a C5 lineales o ramificados, y R2 es un grupo C3 a C8 lineal o ramificado.
