Abstract
Se provee un método modificado de recuperacion de hidrocarburo in situ desde una formacion subterránea que contiene hidrocarburos. Se genera una combustion vertical que barre hacia fuera de la misma y en forma lateral dentro de la formacion más arriba del tramo horizontal, desde el talon hasta la punta del tramo horizontal, haciendo que los hidrocarburos en la formacion más arriba del tramo horizontal mejoren y se licuen, y a partir de entonces drenen en forma descendente hacia el interior del tramo horizontal el cual es permeable, donde dichos hidrocarburos licuados luego son enviados a la superficie través de la tubería de produccion. Se inyecta un gas no oxidante en el interior de la parte de talon del tramo horizontal a través de la tubería de inyeccion contenida dentro de la seccion vertical del pozo de produccion. Los beneficios del método modificado de recuperacion in situ incluyen menores costos y un impacto ambiental reducido.A modified method of recovering hydrocarbon in situ from an underground formation containing hydrocarbons is provided. A production well in the form of ôLö that has a vertical upper section and a lower section that extends horizontally, which is located low in the hydrocarbon formation. The horizontal section is connected to the vertical section of the production well to a heel part and has a pointed part at an opposite end thereof. An oxidizing gas is injected into the formation in the vicinity of the vertical section of the production well. A vertical combustion is generated that sweeps outwardly and laterally into the formation above the horizontal section, from the heel to the tip of the horizontal section, causing the hydrocarbons in the formation above the horizontal section to improve and they are liquefied, and from then on they drain downwards towards the interior of the horizontal section which is permeable, where said liquefied hydrocarbons are then sent to the surface through the production pipe. A non-oxidizing gas is injected into the heel part of the horizontal section through the injection pipe contained within the vertical section of the production well. The benefits of the modified on-site recovery method include lower costs and a reduced environmental impact.
