Abstract
Un proceso de combustion in situ el cual no emplea uno o más pozos de venteo de gas separados. Se provee por lo menos un pozo de produccion vertical que tiene una porcion substancialmente vertical extendiéndose hacia abajo adentro del deposito y una porcion de pata horizontal extendiéndose horizontalmente hacia afuera desde allí entubado relativamente bajo en el deposito. Por lo menos un pozo de inyeccion de gas oxidante vertical, posicionado por arriba y espaciado en relacion al pozo horizontal, está posicionado lateralmente a lo largo del pozo horizontal aproximadamente a mitad de seccion del mismo. Se inyecta gas oxidante allí dentro y se hacen progresar frentes de combustion hacia afuera de tal pozo de inyeccion en direcciones mutuamente opuestas a lo largo del pozo horizontal. Preferiblemente se provee una pluralidad de pozos de inyeccion a lo largo de la direccion del pozo horizontal, y se inyecta gas oxidante y se han progresar frentes de combustion hacia afuera y en direccion opuestas entre sí, y se hace drenar petroleo hacia abajo adentro del pozo horizontal, cuyo petroleo junto con gases de combustion calientes, es producido hacia la superficie.An in situ combustion process which does not employ one or more separate gas vent wells. At least one vertical production well is provided which has a substantially vertical portion extending downwardly inside the tank and a horizontal leg portion extending horizontally outwardly from there tubing relatively low in the tank. At least one vertical oxidant gas injection well, positioned above and spaced in relation to the horizontal well, is positioned laterally along the horizontal well approximately mid-section thereof. Oxidising gas is injected there and combustion fronts are advanced outward from such an injection well in mutually opposite directions along the horizontal well. Preferably a plurality of injection wells are provided along the direction of the horizontal well, and oxidizing gas is injected and combustion fronts have been progressed outwardly and in opposite direction to each other, and oil is drained down into the well horizontal, whose oil along with hot combustion gases, is produced towards the surface.
