Abstract

Un método para implementar una antena inteligente para establecer una asociacion entre uno estacion (STA) y un punto de acceso (AP) en una red inalámbrica de área local comienza cuando el AP transmite una trama de baliza sobre un haz de antena. La trama de baliza es recibida en la STA, que mide la calidad de senal de la trama de baliza. El AP conmuta a un haz de antena diferente y repite el método hasta que la trama de baliza ha sido transmitida sobre todos los haces de antena. La STA se asocia con el AP que transmite la trama de baliza con la calidad de senal más alta sobre uno de sus haces de antena.
