Abstract

El presente se refiere a un aparato y método para medir con precision y transportar un polvo seco o material granular a un mezclador en un sistema sustancialmente cerrado. El aparato incluye un tanque de almacenamiento adaptado para contener el polvo seco o material granular; una tolva dispuesta dentro del tanque de almacenamiento; y un transportador por lo menos parcialmente dispuesto dentro del tanque de almacenamiento, que administra el polvo seco o material granular a la tolva. El aparato incluye también un alimentador de medicion adaptado para administrar el polvo seco o material granular a una densidad sustancialmente uniforme de la tolva a un mezclador ubicado fuera del tanque de almacenamiento. El aparato es un sistema sustancialmente cerrado, minimizándose de este modo el riesgo de que el polvo seco o material granular sea llevado por aire.
