Abstract

Composición alimenticia ingerible oralmente o alimenticia para mascotas o composición cosmética que contiene glucosamina generada a partir de materiales de plantas a través de un procedimiento de secado para mantener la salud o prevención, alivio y/o el tratamiento de osteoartritis conjunto, o la mejora de la calidad de la piel y la prevención o restauración de alteraciones relacionadas con la edad de la piel. Uso de la composición en la elaboración de un producto nutritivo, un suplemento, un convite, un medicamento o un producto cosmético y métodos para el mantenimiento de la salud ósea, prevención, alivio y/o tratamiento de osteoartritis, mejoras de la calidad de la piel y prevención y restauración de alteraciones relacionadas con la edad de la piel que comprende administrar una cantidad efectiva de la composición. Reivindicación 1: Procedimiento para producir glucosamina a partir de plantas, caracterizado porque el vegetal fresco o los extractos de vegetal son secados a una temperatura inferior a 110° C, preferentemente a 92° C o inferior durante menos de una semana, preferentemente entre 5 y 50 horas. Reivindicación 3: Un producto, caracterizado porque es obtenible por el procedimiento de acuerdo con las reivindicaciones 1 o 2. Reivindicación 4: Uso de glucosamina de origen vegetal producida a través del proceso de secado de acuerdo con las reivindicaciones 1 ó 2, caracterizado porque sirve en la elaboración de un medicamento para la prevención, el tratamiento y/o alivio de los desordenes metabólicos de los tejidos osteoarticulares y/o el mantenimiento de la salud de las articulaciones en los mamíferos.
