Abstract

En un método y aparato de flotación con espuma, se forma una suspensión espesa de un material de grano grueso y productos químicos de flotación. La suspensión se prepara fundamentalmente sin producir sedimento en la suspensión. En un separador de flotación, se prepara una fase líquida y se dispone una fase de espuma sobre la superficie de la fase liquida. La suspensión es alimentada en la pase de la espuma, para ser retiradas en forma hidrófobas son capturadas en la espuma, para ser retiradas en forma de un flujo superior, mientras que las partículas hidrófilas se hunden a través de la espuma en la fase líquida debajo de ésta, para ser removidas en forma de un flujo inferior. En el preparador, la suspensión se pone en movimiento de flujo con un modelo axial de flujo que circula verticalmente. El preparador utilizado es una mezcladora de rotor helicoidal.
