Abstract

Un aparato y un método para rastrear. individualmente las plantas que crecen en un sitio de cultivo, tal como un campo , un lecho de cultivo, una parcela o un invernadero o han sido retiradas de los mismos. Se llevan registros que pueden ser leídos por una máquina, relacionados con plantas específicas seleccionadas, en asociación estrecha con las plantas correspondientes, al tiempo que se cultiva la planta, y aún si se retira la palnta del sitio de cultivo. Puede agregarse información acerca de cada planta, por ejemplo caracteres, características, composición genética, a la base de datos que correlaciona la información con los datos que pueden ser leídos por una máquina. Por consiguiente, se puede rastrear individualmente cada planta y existe información sobre la planta disponible al mantener con la planta los datos que pueden ser leídos por una máquina. Estos datos que pueden ser leídos por una máquina puedenleerse en una máquina comunicada operativamente con una computadora, en la cual está almacenada la base de datos. Por lo tanto, la identidad y la información sobre la planta están disponibles sin tener que mantener un registro específico de una planta.
