Abstract

Un proceso para la síntesis heterogénea de compuestos químicos tales como metanol y amoníaco mediante conversión catalítica de los respectivos reactivos gaseosos que se hacen pasar a través de una primera (2) y una segunda (3) zona de reacción conectadas en serie una con la otra, en las cuales reaccionan en condiciones seudoisotérmicas, se distingue en que en la primera zona de reacción (2) se hacen fluir los reactivos gaseosos a través de una masa fija de un catalizador apropiado en el cual está sumergida una pluralidad de intercambiadores de calor (21) con forma de placa, sustancialmente similares a cajas, dispuestos lado a lado y atravesados por un fluido de operación de intercambio de calor.
