Abstract

Interfaz, red de comunicaciones y método que proporcionan los usuarios de televisión satelital un sistema simple para elegir, de entre una variedad de imágenes de video, las imágenes que representan un ángulo diferente de cámara en un espectáculo dado. La red de comunicaciones comprende una pluralidad de cámaras ubicadas en un espectáculo, por ejemplo deportivo. Las imágenes de video provenientes de las cámaras se difunden hacia al menos un satélite que transmite las imágenes por enlace descendente hacia un centro de difusión central. En el centro de difusión central, la información relativa al espectáculo se empaqueta con las imágenes de video y se vuelven a difundir hacia un segundo conjunto de satélites. Después, la información y las imágenes de vídeo se descargan en enlace descendente hacia muchos usuarios situados dentro de la senal característica del satélite, para que esos usuarios la vean en sus televisores. La interfaz con el usuario consta de un dispositivo de control a distancia, y de una barra transparente, una representación visual de teclas de navegación y de una descripción en forma de texto del ángulo de cámara que se estuviera mirando en ese momento; todos estos se superponen sobre la pantalla de televisión, lo que permite que el usuario, a través del dispositivo de control a distancia, haga su selección de manera simple a partir de un ángulo de cámara, navegue hacia otros ángulos de cámara y reciba un flujo de información respecto del espectáculo que se está mirando en esos momentos.
