Abstract

Un sistema y metodo que le proporciona a los usuarios de television satelital una interfase sencilla en la cual seleccionar de entre una variedad de imagenes de video que representan el angulo de camara en un evento determinado. La invencion comprende una pluralidad de camaras colocadas en un cierto evento, tal como un evento deportivo. Las imagenes de video provenientes de las camaras se transmiten hacia uno o mas satelites, los cuales enlazan descendentemente las imagenes hacia un centro de transmision central. En el centro de transmision central, la informacion referente al evento se empaqueta con las imagenes de video y se vuelven a transmitir a un segundo conjunto de satelites. La informacion y las imagenes de video se enlazan descendentemente despues hacia los multiples usuarios situados en la zona de recepcion del satelite, para verse en sus televisiones. La interfase del usuario incluye un dispositivo de control remoto, y una barra transparente, una visualizacion de tecla de navegacion, y una descripcion textual del angulo de camara actual que se ve, sobrepuestas todas al dispositivo de vision, permitiendole consecuentemente al usuario, mediante el dispositivo de control remoto, simplemente seleccionar de entre un angulo de camara, navegar hacia otros angulos de camara, y recibir un flujo de informacion acerca del evento visto.
