Abstract

Composicion espesada de recubrimiento al agua que (preferiblemente pinturas etc., y adhesivos) que contiene un aglutinante polimérico formador de película que produce recubrimientos secos con menor sensibilidad al agua mediante el uso de un espesante que es autooxidable. Las unidades preferidas presentan ácidos grasos de cadena larga del tipo que se utiliza en pinturas alquídicas y el mecanismo de espesamiento preferido es el de asociacion. Las unidades pueden formar parte de un compuesto que puede participar en una polimerizacion para formar un esqueleto polimérico libre de celulosa para el espesante y si el compuesto no es muy soluble en agua, la mezcla de copolimerizacion se somete a una agitacion intensiva para formar pequenas gotas con un promedio numérico de diámetros menor a 500 nm para compensar la falta de solubilidad. El espesante puede servir como aglutinante si se utilizan cantidades suficientes.
