Abstract
Un cátodo que comprende: un canal que se extiende aproximadamente entre 10 y 450 micrones en la superficie del cátodo. El cátodo se puede moldear como un cilindro hueco que posee una superficie interior y una superficie exterior, en tanto el canal se extiende en la superficie interior del cátodo. El cátodo se puede moldear como un prisma y puede presentar un canal que se extiende en una superficie mayor del cátodo. El cátodo puede comprender una superficie desbastada. Un cátodo que posee una superficie, comprendiendo partículas de grafito en una superficie del cátodo, las partículas de grafito poseen planos cristalográficos a-b orientados sustancialmente no paralelos a la superficie del cátodo y es moldeado como un cilindro o como un prisma. Los planos cristalográficos a-b de las partículas se pueden orientar sustancialmente en direccion perpendicular a la superficie del cátodo, en direccion perpendicular a la longitud del cátodo, o en paralelo al eje mayor del cátodo. El cátodo comprende además un colector de corriente con una superficie mayor perpendicular a los planos a-b de las partículas de grafito. Una batería que comprende: un cátodo como el descripto. Un método de fabricacion de un cátodo que comprende formar canales en la superficie del cátodo o desbastar el cátodo; o bien conformar un cátodo con una superficie y partículas de grafito en la superficie del cátodo, en tanto las partículas de grafito poseen planos cristalográficos a-b no paralelos a la superficie del cátodo. Un método de fabricacion de una batería empleando el cátodo descripto.
