Abstract
Un método para construir cepas genéticamente modificadas de microorganismos degradadores de esteroides, donde multiples genes involucrados en ladegradacion del nucleo de los esteroides son inactivados, tales como los genes de esteroide deshidrogenasa s. Uno de estos genes es kstD1. Cepas con multiplesgenes de enzimas degradadoras de esteroides inactivados pueden usarse para la acumulacion de esteroides intermediarios con un alto rendimiento. Un producto deacumulacion preferido es 9alfa-hidroxi-4- androsteno-3,17-diona.A method for constructing genetically modified strains of steroid degrading microorganisms, where multiple genes involved in steroid nucleus degradation are inactivated, such as steroid dehydrogenase s genes. One of these genes is kstD1. Strains with multiplesgenes of inactivated steroid degrading enzymes can be used for the accumulation of intermediate steroids with high yield. A preferred accumulation product is 9alpha-hydroxy-4- androstene-3,17-dione.
