Abstract

Un modificador para mejorar el comportamiento de las mezclas bituminosas usadas en la pavimentacion de carreteras, que se dispersa fácilmente en cualquierproporcion y conduce a propiedades mejoradas con respecto a las mezclas bituminosas tradicionales. El modificador está constituido por una dispersionconcentrada de un polímero en una fracciiion pesada procedente de operaciones de refino de petroleo,a la que se anaden cargas de las utilizadas como filleren la fabricacion de mezclas bituminosas para carreteras. Además de estos tres componentes principales (polímero, fraccion pesada y cargas), el modificadorpuede contener otros que convenga a la mezcla, como promotores de adhesividad. Estos componentes se mezclan en equipos como los utilizados para componercaucho.
